QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred)
  • 4–5 years of experience in the UAE in a similar role
  • Knowledge of close-out procedures, handover documentation, and client/consultant expectations (e.g., Emaar, Aldar, etc.)
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

The Close-out Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating the project close-out activities, ensuring that all deliverables—such as documentation and approval, authorities’ clearance , and compliance requirements—are completed and submitted in line with client and project specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and compile project close-out documentation, including Operation & Maintenance Manuals (O&M), As-Built Drawings, Warranty Certificates, Material Approvals, and Testing & Commissioning reports.
  • Liaise with internal departments (QA/QC, MEP, Civil, etc.) and with suppliers & contractors to gather required documents and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Upgradation for all construction documents (if required)
  • Support site inspections and handover walkthroughs to ensure punch lists/snags are closed prior to final handover along with monitoring all the snags completion at site in coordination with all the required parties, Subcontractors, client & consultant, and obtaining the approval for the same from the required parties.
  • Handle the authorities approval and final inspection.
  • Coordinate with the site team and contractors for client’s site training
  • Track and follow up on outstanding documentation and submissions to meet handover deadlines.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting the Close-out Submittal Package (CSP) or DLP handover packages in accordance with client requirements.
  • Communicate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to address and resolve any close-out issues or missing items.
  • Coordinate with Document Control to ensure all submissions are recorded, archived, and compliant with project standards.
