Description General Job Summary The Closer is responsible for managing the preparation of closing documents for loans. Summary of Essential Job Functions Prepare closing documents in LOS in time to meet closing date. Assure that all closing conditions have been complied with on loan. Complete thorough review of title work, homeowners insurance, etc. to assure all are in compliance with requirements of loan program/closing conditions. . Deliver closing package to the Title Company/Closing Agent Coordinate with Title Company Closing Agent to assure all documents are correct. Review the CD sent over by the Closing Agent Make sure the CD matches the Mortgage Builder system Make sure the CD is in Compliance with the Underwriting Conditions Request wire to fund closing. Enter wire information in the Online Banking system or request this function be done by authorized personnel. Other Job Functions All other duties as assigned by management Requirements Education, Training and Work Experience High school diploma or equivalent Previous mortgage closing experience Previous LOS experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Maintain & foster positive relationships with customers and business partners Complete all assigned training in a timely manner Excellent organizational, time management and analytical skills Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Knowledge of mortgage lending processes and procedures Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with many different groups/individuals in a team setting Ability to work independently and efficiently with low margin of error Organizational skills with ability to prioritize, and multi-task Mortgage Builder Ability to keep up to date on closing related regulations Working Environment Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor-allergens. Employee will work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.
