About This Opportunity Job Location: Studio G HQ & Distribution Center – Holland, MI This is an on-site position (not remote) Department/Team: Product Solutions Team Position: Closet / Storage Specialist Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week; Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm) Studio G is seeking a Closet / Storage Specialist to support our custom closets and storage division. This role blends spatial planning, client consultation, estimating, and project ownership. The right candidate is self-driven, organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal teams. This position does not require a formal interior design degree. We value practical experience, strong work ethic, accountability, and the ability to learn and grow within the role. Mindset & Work Ethic Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable taking ownership of projects Works well independently while contributing to a team environment Proactive problem-solver who follows projects through from start to finish Organized, disciplined, and accountable Takes pride in their work, relationships, and professional reputation Client Experience & Consultative Sales Comfortable working with professional, high-expectation clients including builders and homeowners Provides responsive, accurate, and detail-oriented service Builds trust through clear communication and follow-through Able to guide clients through design options, upgrades, and budget considerations Communicates confidently and professionally in person, over the phone, and via email Design & Spatial Planning Strong eye for detail, proportion, and organization Interest in closets, storage solutions, and functional space planning Ability to understand how clients use their spaces and translate needs into practical solutions Balances aesthetics, functionality, and build feasibility Comfortable reading architectural plans or willing to learn Technical & Business Skills Ability to learn and perform the following with training and support: Design complete closet and storage solutions Create accurate estimates and proposals Track pricing, margins, and project details Manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience with or willingness to learn: Studio (ORG Home / Stow Company design software) QuickBooks Microsoft Outlook and Office applications (Word, Excel) Strong attention to detail is essential, particularly with pricing, specifications, and documentation. Project Ownership & Account Support Own projects from initial consultation through completion Perform on-site measurements as needed Travel locally to job sites, builder offices, and client homes Support repeat builder and client relationships Track timelines, revisions, and changes accurately Professional Presence Represents the Studio G brand with professionalism and confidence Detail-oriented, approachable, and dependable Maintains strong follow-through with clients, trades, and internal teams Growth & Long-Term Opportunity This role offers the opportunity for long-term growth within Studio G. As experience and skills develop, this position may evolve into a senior-level role with expanded responsibilities, including supporting additional projects, mentoring others, or managing key accounts.
