Description JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Closing Agent to join our Courthouse Title team. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate loan transactions for secondary-market, in-house, and cash closings as well as possess excellent communication and organizational skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Administrative assistance to the Courthouse Title Manager Exercises independent judgement through coordination of real estate closings for secondary market, in-house, and cash closings including preparation of closing documents and disbursement of funds; prepares settlement statements, closing disclosures, required affidavits, and other necessary documents. Ensures signing of closing documents is completed in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements and client instructions. Prepares and compiles all requests for title work including researching appropriate federal, state, and local databases, scanning and filing documents, and forwarding requests to the attorney’s office. Addresses inquiries from clients, borrowers, agents, and employees in a professional and timely manner. Confirms closing dates, locations, documentation, and funds due at closing with borrowers. Prepares title insurance policies and submits them to the attorney’s office for review and approval. Records required post-closing documentation with the appropriate state and/or county agencies. Responsible for developing relationships with Real Estate Agents to develop business. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. General hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; long hours, weekend work, and travel expected on occasion.
