Description
SAIC is seeking Cloud Administrators to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS. This position will be located in the National Capital Region. Please note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by Winter/ Spring 2026. The Cloud Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Designs, plans, and integrates cloud computing and virtualization systems Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, cloud service provider selection, implementation techniques, application & data migration techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements Develops and conducts testing of cloud and virtualization systems Maintains technical expertise relevant industry standards and in cloud computing and virtualization technologies such as cloud service provider architecture, design, and configuration; cloud deployment models including public, community, private, and hybrid; cloud service delivery models including infrastructure-, platform-, and software-as-a-service; automation; hypervisors; containers; virtual compute, storage, and networks; virtual infrastructure management; self-provisioning; and scaling Evaluates and reports on new cloud and virtualization technologies to enhance capabilities of cloud-based and virtualized services Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Bachelors degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Software Engineering and 5 years or more experience (will consider an additional 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree) One or more active Certifications: SecurityX/ CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSO, GSEC, GDSA, or GCSA Experience in managing and maintaining cloud environments, implementing cloud solutions, and ensuring system availability and performance Proficiency in cloud management tools, monitoring cloud resources, and optimizing cloud costs Strong understanding of cloud security practices and compliance requirements
