SUMMARY:

The Cloud Administrator focuses on the day-to-day management and maintenance of a company’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation by managing user access, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing resource allocation. Cloud administrators focus on operational tasks like monitoring performance, managing user access, and troubleshooting issues, while cloud engineers focus on designing, developing, and deploying cloud infrastructure and applications

EXPERIENCE:

• At least 5 years systems administrator experience with Windows and/or Linux environments including cloud administration
• 3 or more years hands on experience working in a cloud environment with multiple layers of networks and operating systems, including installation, configuration, patching
• 2 years experience in infrastructure complex distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning.
• 3+ years working and collaborating with Quality Assurance and Operations teams
• Experience with scripting languages (Ruby, Bash, Python, Javascript, or similar)
• Familiarity with web servers including Apache and Tomcat, & nginx
• Knowledge of Cloud Platforms (Hybrid Clouds, IAAS, PAAS and SAAS) with solid experience working in a cloud environment with multiple layers of networks and operating systems.
• 2+ years experience with virtualization technologies.
• 2+ years of experience with automation/orchestration tools and technologies (e.g. Puppet, Ansible).
• Experience in Internet facing applications, security concerns, vulnerability assessment, and network protocols
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies and services and various IT operations, often based on the ITIL Framework.

• User management: Managing users, resources, calendars, and the Resource Tree
• Documenting systems infrastructure and standard operating procedures: Documenting systems infrastructure and operating procedures for the convenience of user
