MINIMUM EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

• Required education and degree type: BS or MS
• Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+2, MS+1
• 1 Year of experience with Cloud technology and offering
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English
• Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Creative and innovative mindset on how to analyze a situation and take actions
• Excellent communication skills with capacity to adapt to the audience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 2 years of experience in customer support, presales or consulting services type customer facing roles with Cloud technology and offerings
• AWS and/or Azure qualifications

SUMMARY / ROLE PURPOSE

The Application Engineer II within the Global Strategic Initiatives / Cloud – HPC & CSM team will collaborate closely with sales and Cloud Sales Specialists to support pre-sales engagements with customers, focusing on Cloud solutions.
While the primary responsibility will be to work with events in the EMEA time zones, there may be occasional collaboration with colleagues in other regions.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical activities:

• Conduct discovery calls together with sales to understand the customers’ cloud technical requirements
• Conduct live product demos showcasing cloud capabilities
• Present Ansys Cloud Products at public events
• Design cloud architectures and solutions tailored for customer’s needs
• Lead Proof of Concepts with customers
• Help with customer onboarding
• Provide feedback to the development team on Ansys Cloud products
• Write knowledge material on Ansys Cloud products
