POSITION OVERVIEW:

Edgesource is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to support enterprise cloud transformation initiatives across mission-critical programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud-based systems architecture and demonstrate knowledge of DevSecOps, system lifecycle development, and Agile methodologies. This role will contribute to the strategic design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments across various platforms. This position requires that all job duties be performed full-time onsite in the Chantilly, VA area.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM discipline. Six (6) years of experience as a Cloud Architect may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in architecting cloud-based systems.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Hands-on experience with one or more major Cloud Service Providers: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with multiple cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) implementation and integration.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and tools.
  • Working knowledge of full Systems Engineering lifecycle practices.
  • Agile experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.).
  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment / SAFe certifications.
  • Familiarity with modeling and architecture tools such as Cameo.
