POSITION SUMMARY

This role designs, implements, and maintains secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for the DFAS IL-5 tenant. The engineer ensures resiliency, redundancy, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity mandates while enabling mission-critical applications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science.
• 5+ years cloud engineering in DoD/IL-5 environments.
• Experience with Azure Gov, AWS GovCloud, or Oracle Cloud.
• DoD 8570 IAT III certification (e.g., CASP CE, CCNP, CISA, CISSP (or Associate))
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Azure or AWS Architect certification.
• Experience supporting DFAS or DoD financial workloads.

• Design and architect IL-5 compliant cloud services.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code for automated provisioning.
• Support scaling, failover, and continuity planning.
• Troubleshoot cloud services, containers, and integration layers.
• Work with DFAS and CSP staff to ensure secure interoperability.
