WHAT’S YOUR DAY LIKE?

Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a talented Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team and drive enterprise cloud transformation initiatives for mission-critical programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud-based systems architecture, with demonstrable expertise in DevSecOps, system lifecycle development, and Agile methodologies. In this pivotal role, you will design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments across various platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define effective cloud strategies. Your responsibilities will include applying DevSecOps practices to optimize system development, participating in Agile development activities like Program Increment Planning and Sprint Execution, and utilizing cloud service provider technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle to deliver innovative solutions.
You will also document architectural decisions and serve as a thought leader in cloud modernization initiatives, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and customer-focused solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM discipline. Six (6) years of experience as a Cloud Architect may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in architecting cloud-based systems.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Hands-on experience with one or more major Cloud Service Providers: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with multiple cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) implementation and integration.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and tools.
  • Working knowledge of full Systems Engineering lifecycle practices.
  • Agile experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.).
  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment; SAFe certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with modeling and architecture tools such as Cameo.
