Description
SAIC is hiring a Cloud Computing Engineer with an active Secret clearance and security + certification for the A1 MCE Managed Shared Services Contract. This role is 100%25 remote and is contingent upon contract award. Job Responsibilities: Provide automation engineer skills installing, configuring, and managing kubernetes within an AWS GovCloud environment. Provide engineering, administration and maintenance support to the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment. Provide Windows and Linux support when needed. Collaborate using Amazon Web Services (AWS) for use of AWS native services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage (S3) and Amazon Simple DB/RDS databases, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM). Discover and resolve issues within the virtual environments. Design new capabilities and enhancements (to include cloud migration, analytics design and development) and create efficiencies within the AWS environments. Create, update and maintains system documentation, interact with users and evaluate vendor products. Assist in the delivery ATO’s documentation for IL2/IL4 environments, work with IA team to define, document and implement security controls. Participate in the development of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents. Report findings to management with recommendations for resolution. Maintain regular contact with customers during support and projects. Provide technical assistance and training to users. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. In lieu of a degree an additional four (4) years of experience may be accepted. Experience with all aspects of the CI/CD pipeline. Experience working with administrator, service accounts and troubleshooting issues. Experience planning, building, integrating and maintaining USAF software development projects. Experience with automation, installing, configuring, and managing kubernetes within an AWS GovCloud environment. Documentation for projects including asset inventory. 3 or more years of experience and advanced vendor certification and in-depth knowledge of at least one cloud product. Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe or other modern software development methods/practices. Programming languages: JavaScript, Python, Java, and Peal (a plus). Experience supporting USAF software development projects REQUIRED CLEARANCE AND CERTIFICATIONS: Security+ Certification or equivalent/higher Security Clearance US citizenship DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ansible and Terroform experience RHEL and Linux experience Experience with Mongo Database data platforms AWS Associate Certification AWS certifications Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer HashiCorp Certified: Vault or Terraform Advanced Windows certification Scripting Experience: YAML & Ruby Scripting SAFe DevOps certification Experience supporting software migration efforts Azure certifications Experience in an MSP or other IT company Service Now, Remedy, TMIS, or similar ticketing systems DevOps experience
