Description
We’re looking for a Cloud Data Engineer (AWS) to join our client’s data team in the financial markets sector, helping design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions in the cloud. Key Responsibilities Design and develop data pipelines and Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg; Hudi/Delta as a plus) on AWS and other public clouds. Build, automate, and maintain ETL workflows using Airflow, Step Functions, and related orchestration tools. Ensure high standards of reliability, automation, and security across all data solutions. Contribute to data strategy, architecture, and implementation best practices. Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and share knowledge within delivery teams. Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and analysts. 3–5 years of experience building data pipelines on AWS (Azure/GCP a plus). Strong background in data solution design, ETL, and data architecture. Proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark, and DevOps/CI-CD practices. Experience with AWS services: Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Batch. Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code. Experience with Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg preferred) and pipeline orchestration. Knowledge of networking, IAM, and security within cloud environments.
