JOB DESCRIPTION
The role is within the Data Engineering team of the Platform Modernisation programme, revolutionising the technology at the core of the International Private Bank (IPB). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a very large project that affects most applications within IPB. Not only will you work with the latest technology being adopted within JPMC but you will work with data relating to a broad range of business functions - what better way to learn more about the business? The immediate team is small so you will play an important role from the start and have a great opportunity to shine.
As a Cloud Data Engineer in the Platform Modernisation team, you are responsible for developing software solutions to maintain party, account, market and reference data in the new third party central banking application due to go live in the first location this Summer and rolling out across all locations over the next 5 years. This is a green field project so you should be actively influencing the solution design with an eye on stability, performance, supportability and fast development cycles. You will be building solutions centred around AWS Lambda functions written in Python and custom built API’s for the new banking application.
