The (Senior) Linux / DevOps Engineer plays a central role in managing the Zertificon Operational Services (ZOS) platforms and environments where Zertificon products are developed, tested, and operated. This role ensures the stability and security of the infrastructure to guarantee smooth and uninterrupted development in our various development phases. This position contributes to risk minimization, strengthens operational resilience, and supports the company by:

• Proactive maintenance and monitoring of Zertificon environments to ensure their availability and full functionality
• Maintenance of production and R&D hardware, support of the release process, and troubleshooting in pipelines.
• Responsibility for our R&D smart self-service solutions and their administration

Your tasks

Infrastructure & Automation

• Design, setup and automated maintenance of the Linux infrastructure (Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python)
• Meeting internal customer requirements through infrastructure, tools, and self-service solutions
• Development and expansion of CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins
• Hypervisor cluster management, troubleshooting and automation (XCP-ng)

Monitoring & Maintenance

• Management of monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana) and planning of strategic alerts
• Environment maintenance: hardware testing, installation, patches, operating systems, certificates, firmware

Cooperation

• Contribution to the work of a team of 4-6 people through knowledge exchange
• Reviewing pull requests for scripts, playbooks, and manifests to ensure code quality.

Your profile

• Very good Linux knowledge
• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, proxy) and information security (TLS, certificates)
• Knowledge of databases (backup, restore, troubleshooting, migration)
• Basic data center knowledge (firewalls, switches, routers, cabling and servers)
• A good understanding of virtualization (XCP-ng / XenServer is an advantage)
• Solid knowledge of Ansible for configuration management
• Good knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and Git
• Experience with container technologies (images, registries)
• Excellent English skills and effective communication skills

Nice to have:

• Kubernetes, Docker Swarm
• Experience with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Experience in handling terraform
