THE AZURE CLOUD ENGINEER/CLOUD DEVOPS ENGINEER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DESIGNING, MANAGING, AND MAINTAINING OUR CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE ON THE MICROSOFT AZURE PLATFORM. THIS ROLE INVOLVES CREATING AND IMPLEMENTING SCALABLE, RELIABLE, AND SECURE CLOUD SOLUTIONS. THE ENGINEER WILL COLLABORATE CLOSELY WITH INFRASTRUCTURE & DEVELOPMENT TEAMS TO FACILITATE CONTINUOUS INTEGRATION (CI), MIGRATION, AND CONTINUOUS DEPLOYMENT (CD) PROCESSES, ENSURING SEAMLESS AND EFFICIENT CLOUD OPERATIONS.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, plan, and execute secure migrations from on-premises to Azure. Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage for cost-efficiency. Configure and manage Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, App Service, SQL Database, Storage). Use automation tools to streamline development (e.g. ADO, Bicep, Terraform, etc.)
Cloud Operations: Act as 4th Line Support for day-to-day cloud operations to ensure high availability and performance. Monitor resources, respond to incidents, and conduct root cause analysis. Review existing operations and generate ideas for continuous improvement
Architecture: Assist with internal and external cloud architectural components (Compute, Networking, and Security) to ensure they align with the overall cloud architecture. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and accuracy. Ensure solutions meet objectives and service level agreements (SLAs), providing seamless and robust cloud services that support business needs
Information Security: Implement required security measures such as hardening, firewalls or message encryption, monitoring performance. Monitor and address security vulnerabilities and threats. Implement security by design
FinOps: Conduct cost analyses to identify variances and inefficiencies. Develop and implement cost optimization strategies. Monitor cloud spending and recommend cost-saving measures (e.g. Reserved Instances)
