Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cloud Engineer - 3rd Shift to support our consulting client on a long term project providing multiple government agencies with their #1 product. This role will be mostly remote, however the candidate will need to be able to be present in Chantilly, VA when and if needed. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience with system administration of RPM-based Linux distributions (Amazon Linux, RHEL, CentOS, etc.)
  • Automation experience with AWS cloud services (VPC, EC2, S3, CloudFormation, etc)
  • Experience with fully automated infrastructure, system, and application deployment with technologies like CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Experience with shell scripting
  • Experience with government and industry security standards (CIS, STIG, or NIST 800-53) and remediating issues identified during security audits
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD pipeline tools
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
Responsibilities
  • Configuration as code for infrastructure, system configuration, and application deployments
  • Design and deploy cloud solutions on AWS
  • Automate operations and maintenance activities
  • Review security scan reports and address findings
  • Apply patches, upgrades, and application deployments
  • Monitor application availability and aide in resolving operational issues
