Total Number of Openings 5 About the position: Chevron invites applications for the role of Cloud Engineer – Operating Systems within our team in India. As an Operating System Engineer you will be responsible for designing and deploying and maintaining infrastructure solutions that support application and other core services that require Windows or Linux OS across the Enterprise. This position will provide broad exposure to the application of technology to enable business with many opportunities for growth and professional development for the candidate. Key Responsibilities: • Partner with architects, cloud engineers, other infrastructure and application experts to provide application hosting solutions that fully leverage the computing and storage resources on-premises and in the Cloud. • Development of new implementations as well as the analysis and enhancement of existing solutions to advance business capabilities. • Designing and developing enterprise capabilities and solutions for Azure cloud and VMWare focusing on Windows or Linux OS. • Deploying and setting up Windows or Linux Server environments to meet organizational needs. • Administering Active Directory, including Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. • Continuously monitoring system performance and addressing any issues promptly to ensure optimal operation. • Ensuring systems are secure by implementing and maintaining security protocols, compliance and updates. • Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues to minimize downtime. Required Qualifications: • Must have bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or related discipline * 2-5 years of experience • Minimum 2+ years of Azure Experience and relevant experience in OS Management. • AZ900 Certification & AZ 400 Certification. • Extensive expertise in IT platforms, storage solutions, networking, and virtualization technologies (Azure, VMware). • Proficient in one or more operating systems, including Microsoft Server Technologies (Server 2019, Server Core, etc.) or Linux Operating Systems (RedHat, SUSE, etc.). • Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of distributed applications. • In-depth knowledge of security best practices and tools to ensure secure deployment and management of Windows or Linux systems. • Practical experience with cloud methodologies, automation, orchestration, and DevOps practices. • Skilled proficiency in managing and configuring Windows or Linux systems in both domain and non-domain joined environments. • Extensive experience in the automation, configuration, and deployment of Windows or Linux operating systems. • Experience in VMware Virtual machine creation, allocations and management.
