Description:

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Cloud Platform Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in working with popular cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Familiarity with key services, deployment models, and resource management is essential.
  2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in infrastructure automation using tools like Bicep or Terraform. The ability to define and manage infrastructure as code ensures efficient and scalable cloud deployments.
  3. Networking: In-depth understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and virtual private networks (VPNs). Knowledge of cloud-specific networking services like Amazon VPC or Azure Virtual Network is highly desirable.
  4. Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Understanding microservices architecture is a plus.
  5. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Expertise in monitoring cloud environments, configuring alerts, and analyzing logs. Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Prometheus, and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
  6. Database Management: Knowledge of cloud-based database technologies such as PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, MongoDB or Redis. Proficiency in database administration, query optimization, and data migration is highly valuable.
  7. DevOps Principles: Understanding of DevOps methodologies, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and related tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps. Experience in automating software delivery processes is a plus.
  8. Collaboration and Communication: Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, and provide technical guidance. The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is essential.
  9. Continuous Learning and Adaptability: A growth mindset with a passion for learning new technologies, keeping up with industry trends, and adapting to evolving cloud landscapes. Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are advantageous.
  10. Documentation and Technical Writing: Excellent documentation and technical writing skills to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
  11. Cloud Migration Experience: Hands-on experience in migrating on-premises infrastructure or applications to the cloud. Knowledge of migration strategies, tools, and best practices is essential.

Responsibilities:

Design and Implementation of Cloud Architecture: Develop scalable and robust cloud architectures that align with business objectives and best practices. Utilize cloud platforms (Azure) to design systems that maximize performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Infrastructure Provisioning and Management: Provision and configure virtual machines, storage solutions, network resources, and other cloud infrastructure components. Ensure proper resource allocation, security, and scalability to meet evolving business needs.
Cloud Performance Optimization: Fine-tune cloud infrastructure and applications to optimize performance and responsiveness. Analyze system bottlenecks, conduct load testing, and implement performance optimization strategies.
Continuous Improvement and Optimization: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of cloud solutions, identify areas for improvement, and propose innovative ideas to enhance performance, reliability, and security. Implement feedback loops and leverage user insights to drive iterative enhancements.
Cloud Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures to protect cloud-based assets, including data encryption, access controls, and network security configurations. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, such as GDPR or HIPAA, to protect sensitive data.
Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor cloud resources, system metrics, and application performance to identify bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and improve overall system efficiency. Implement scalability and auto-scaling strategies to handle varying workloads.
Cloud Monitoring and Alerting: Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues within the cloud infrastructure. Configure and manage monitoring tools to track system performance, resource utilization, and availability.
Backup and Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data resilience and business continuity. Create data backup schedules, test recovery procedures, and establish redundancy mechanisms to mitigate risks.
Disaster Recovery Testing: Plan and conduct regular disaster recovery tests to validate the effectiveness of recovery procedures and ensure business continuity. Document and update disaster recovery plans based on test results and evolving business needs.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve cloud-related issues, including network connectivity, performance bottlenecks, and service disruptions. Perform root cause analysis, apply necessary fixes, and document troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
Incident Management and Risk Mitigation: Develop incident management plans and procedures to handle cloud-related incidents. Implement proactive measures to minimize potential risks, such as security breaches or data loss, and ensure rapid incident resolution.
Cloud Governance and Policy Management: Develop and enforce governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, and internal security protocols. Implement access controls and user management processes to maintain data integrity and compliance.
