Description

E-Logic is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to provide expert support to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under its Information Technology Modernization initiative. This role supports the IRS Enterprise Operations (EOPS) and Network Engineering business unit in modernizing infrastructure, enhancing cloud technologies, and ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient IT services for mission-critical tax systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect
  • Additional certifications in VoIP, Wireless, or related domains are a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Proven expertise in managing systems across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud security, cost optimization, and high availability architectures.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage multi-cloud architectures (Public, Private, Hybrid) supporting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Provide Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
  • Support cloud migration initiatives, including onboarding applications, cloud-to-cloud, and hybrid migrations.
  • Engineer and maintain secure, cost-optimized, and highly available cloud solutions.
  • Manage IPv6 implementations across multi-cloud environments.
  • Contribute to cloud architectural design, analysis, and enhancements to meet evolving IRS requirements.
  • Enhance and administer cloud hosting infrastructures leveraging virtualization, automation, and orchestration.
  • Ensure compliance with IRS Change Management processes, FISMA, NIST 800-53, and related federal security standards.
  • Maintain IT infrastructure both remotely and onsite at IRS facilities when needed.
  • Support the Government in developing disaster recovery, backup, and O&M plans to maximize uptime and service reliability.
  • Collaborate with IRS stakeholders, CO, COR, and technical teams to deliver secure, efficient, and scalable cloud solutions.
