JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to manage and support our on-premises and cloud infrastructure (AWS & Azure). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in system administration, cloud operations, virtualization, DevOps practices, and system security. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, system availability, and compliance with security policies.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in system administration for both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
  • Strong experience with IAM, ECS, EKS, route tables, NACL, security groups, NSG.
  • Proficient in DevOps and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Skilled in Terraform, scripting (PowerShell, etc.), and automation tools like Chef.
  • Solid experience with Linux and Windows platforms, including Windows Server 2012–2022.
  • Expertise in Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, SCCM, WSUS, IIS, and clustering.
  • Familiar with virtualization tools (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Nutanix) and backup solutions (Commvault, NetBackup).
  • Experience with antivirus software (TrendMicro, Symantec) and basic networking concepts.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to support 8x5 shifts, be on 24x7 standby, and work during off-peak hours.
  • Preferably certified in MCSE, MCSA, ITIL, RHEL.
  • AWS SysOps or Azure Administrator certification is mandatory.
Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain software, hardware, and servers (on-prem and cloud).
  • Set up and manage user accounts, system access, and network configurations.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with users and vendors.
  • Maintain system security through access controls, patching, backups, and firewall configurations.
  • Conduct monthly patching and perform regular upgrades in line with compliance requirements.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, service requests, and perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and internal IT policies.
  • Research and recommend new technologies and best practices to improve infrastructure performance and security.
  • Provide technical support during and after office hours, as needed.
  • Train staff in new technologies and tools.
