Role Summary Particle41 is seeking a Cloud Engineer (Full Stack) with strong AWS expertise and hands-on development experience to design, build, and operate cloud-native solutions for our clients. In this role, you will work across infrastructure, application code, security, and CI/CD—helping clients build scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure systems in AWS. You’ll be expected to contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation through deployment and ongoing support. What You’ll Do Design, build, and deploy cloud-native and serverless applications on AWS Leverage AWS services and APIs to implement scalable, resilient architectures Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, automated deployments Participate in planning, requirements definition, development, testing, and quality assurance Manage and support multi-account AWS environments, including networking, compute, monitoring, and security Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and access controls Investigate and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis and remediation Create and maintain technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, threat models, and user guides Collaborate closely with project managers, client stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience 3+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as: JavaScript / TypeScript / Node.js Python Java, Go, C#, Ruby Bash / PowerShell Practical experience with AWS services such as: Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3 EventBridge, Step Functions DynamoDB, SQS CloudWatch, KMS Experience provisioning infrastructure using IaC tools (e.g., CloudFormation; Terraform or CDK a plus) Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tooling (e.g., CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy) Strong understanding of cloud and application security, particularly for APIs and distributed systems Experience using Git for source control One or more AWS certifications (Associate level or higher) strongly preferred Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field Experience building serverless architectures using AWS CDK Experience designing and deploying REST APIs Familiarity with identity and access protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID, SCIM Experience supporting production cloud environments across multiple AWS accounts Consulting or client-facing delivery experience What Success Looks Like in This Role You can clearly explain which AWS services you’ve used and why You’ve built and supported production systems, not just prototypes You’re comfortable moving between infrastructure, application code, and pipelines You understand how to balance security, scalability, and delivery speed You take ownership when things break and communicate clearly during incidents
