A Cloud Engineer vacancy has become available within our Infrastructure team, that is responsible for the analysis, development, engagement and management of information systems and technology resources to implement, support, and enhance corporate, claims management and technology requirements across the enterprise. Reporting to the Head of Technical Services, you will develop and support the migration efforts from an acquired organisational entity into Gallagher cloud-based solutions, and support our cloud environments in accordance with industry best practices & company security guidelines. Key to this role is strong domain knowledge in cloud implementation, working knowledge of current IT and systems technologies and standards to meet the needs of the business and our clients. This is a are unique opportunity to broaden your existing skillset whilst working with a range of stakeholders. How you'll make an impact Lead & elicit requirements from business and technical stakeholders that will achieve the best fit design for the engagement; Implement and support Azure Services and PaaS technologies including but not limited to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Lifecycle Services, Office365, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Azure App Services, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL and Logic Apps, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure AD Service Principals; Change and make improvements to PaaS resources using Azure DevOps and Infra-as-Code (Terraform); Local lead and co-ordination of cloud development activities (across the full SDLC) between relevant stakeholders and technical resources – both internal and external; Model a range of solution options; associated with requirements and strategic drivers, with estimation and analysis of cost versus benefit for each alternative resulting in robust solution concepts and recommendations; Periodically collaborate to develop and implement operational improvements; Leverage experience with cloud native tools to review metrics and monitor the health / utilisation of our cloud services. About you Relevant tertiary and practical qualifications; Significant experience as a technology professional with demonstrable ability to integrate and manage medium to large scale IT Cloud estates; Demonstrated experience with distributed systems design, maintenance and troubleshooting; Practical experience with debugging and optimising code, as well as automation; Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of cross-functional stakeholders; Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability work independently and to competing priorities; A strong sense of team and collaboration; A resilient attitude. Responsibilities
Develop and support migration efforts to Gallagher's cloud-based solutions while managing cloud environments according to best practices. Lead coordination of cloud development activities and collaborate with stakeholders to implement operational improvements.
