JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our Experience & Engineering team based in the Netherlands. We combine our skills in developing future-ready technical solutions with our expertise in creating beautiful designs to deliver exceptional and engaging digital experiences that build lasting relationships with our clients like Gant, Inter Milan, bol.com and Just Eat Takeaway.

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer who can build the best cloud platforms for our clients and project teams and can maintain our existing solutions in the smartest way possible. Someone who can switch gears quickly and knows how to come up with automatic workflows to help our teams to accelerate in their work. 

As a Cloud Engineer, you search together with your colleagues for the best solutions which you independently translate to the perfect end result. You are responsible for building next level cloud platforms and setting up CI/CD pipelines. You work closely with your SRE colleagues to handover the operations to them. You know how to create long-term simplicity and automate everything so your team can deliver quality to our clients. Technology is transforming fast and that is why we are looking for someone who is eager and motivated to work and experiment with new techniques.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•  Lead the infrastructure implementation/migration process from sprint 0 to go-live;
• Collaborate to support a smooth integration and long-term operational efficiency;
• Ensure best practices are established and deliver high quality work
• Collaborate effectively with our clients teams, including developers questions, to facilitate cross-team communication and ensure a seamless transition;
• Troubleshoot and solve technical issues that may arise during the implementation/migration;

WHAT YOU BRING

• Previous experience as a Cloud Engineer (or similar role); 
• Multi-cloud platform experience (Microsoft Azure, AWS and/or GCP); 
• Experience with DevOps tooling for CI/CD, orchestration and monitoring like Azure DevOps, GitHub, Datadog, Cloudflare etc.;
• Understanding of Cloud Security & Networking;
• Experience with Infra-As-Code (i.e. Terraform);
• The ability & ambition to take ownership of your projects;
• Working proficiency in English;
