POSITION OVERVIEW

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and robust cloud-based solutions that accelerate business innovation and operational efficiency. This role blends deep technical knowledge with practical experience in DevOps, Microsoft technologies, Agile methodologies, Azure cloud services, data platforms, and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to modernize infrastructure, streamline delivery, and ensure the reliability and security of cloud-based applications and data. As a consultant, you will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and deliver tailored solutions that drive business success.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to perform in a customer-facing, consultative environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Microsoft preferred.
  • Proficiency with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, Azure CLI).
  • Understanding of networking, security, identity, and access management in cloud environments.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks.
  • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, and the automation capabilities of each.
  • Previous exposure to Big Data, Data Science, or AI/ML cloud solutions.
  • Experience with serverless architecture and event-driven design on Azure.
  • Practical knowledge of data platforms, databases, and analytics services.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Administrator) are a big plus.

Responsibilities
  • Architect, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure for clients.
  • Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as PowerShell, ARM templates, Terraform.
  • Ensure the cloud environment is secure, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Build and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • Implement DevOps best practices, including infrastructure automation, configuration management, and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, and environment issues efficiently.
  • Work closely with software developers, QA engineers, IT/operations, and business stakeholders in cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Advocate for DevOps culture and drive the adoption of Agile practices across teams.
  • Document cloud architecture, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance needs.
  • Design, implement, and maintain data platforms on Azure, including SQL Database and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Ensure data security, availability, and disaster recovery using Azure-native solutions.
  • Partner with data engineers and analysts to optimize data flows, ETL processes, and analytics workloads.
  • Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies, DevOps tools, and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage new services and approaches to enhance productivity and business value.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, training, and technical workshops.
  • Maintain >= 85% billable utilization target across Data, Analytics, AI, Infrastructure, and Modern Work projects
