Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week
Clearance Req: TS/SCI – Full-Scope Polygraph
FLSA Status: Salaried, exempt
Position Summary
RSekure is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Architecture & Engineering team in Chantilly, VA. This role demands deep technical expertise in AWS cloud services, full-stack development, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments, and will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical applications.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND CRITICAL SKILLS

  • Strong experience with AWS cloud services and architecture.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and DevOps tools.
  • Expertise in database design and management.
  • Front-end development experience with modern frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and team collaboration.
  • Experience working within Sponsor’s environment.
  • Knowledge of API integration and automated testing tools.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, software development, or DevOps.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • TS/SCI clearance with a Full-Scope polygraph.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 30 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Engineer cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
  • Collaborate on solution architecture to ensure scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Develop software using Java, Python, Node.js, C#, or Go.
  • Design and manage relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL (RDS), DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
  • Create responsive front-end applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Operate within Agile development teams, participating in sprint planning and execution.
  • Integrate APIs for seamless communication between distributed systems.
  • Implement automated testing strategies including script development, test collection maintenance, and performance/stress testing.
  • Enter the actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
  • Monitor RSekure email on a regular basis, at least 2 times per week, and respond accordingly.
  • Complete required compliance training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
