Description
SAIC is seeking a Cloud Engineer Senior Principal role in support of our Department of Transportation (DOT) contract for EITSS Infrastructure support. This is an onsite role, you will be required to work at DOT HQ in Washington, DC a full five days As a Cloud engineer, you’ll use your experience to architect, build, and design solutions that integrate public Cloud services. You will incorporate techniques like Infrastructure as Code to ensure repeatable deployment of resources. You’ll provide expertise in the use of Cloud reference architectures and solutions to support software development in a DevOps environment. You should have excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and should be a team player. Must have a minimum of 10 years of related experience managing cloud environments, possessing extensive skills and knowledge in cloud service provider selection, implementation techniques, application data migration techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Possess at least 1 Professional or Specialty certification from a cloud provider. Top Qualifications, Skills, Experience or Certifications: 10+ years of experience deploying/configuring workloads within AWS Commercial Cloud using the Console, CLI, and scripting methods, 15+ years' experience in technology Demonstrated understanding of compute, network, and storage principals Demonstrated proficiency managing large Organization with Organization Units, Policies, Configs to maintain compliance AWS Solutions Architect Professional Preferred skills and qualifications: Experience implementing, managing, and supporting security products to protect workloads in AWS Good understanding of FedRAMP services and best practices for their consumption by application workloads – examples include API Gateway, Lambda functions, Cognito, AWS Code Commit, and container services Experience assessing, customizing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining current and emerging technologies, platforms, and applications to help ensure greater security and efficiencies, inclusive of containers Demonstrated understanding of cloud engineering methods, applications, and best practices across cloud service providers. Demonstrated proficiency with implementing and managing AWS services via AWS Console or CLI of AWS accounts, IAM users, IAM roles, VPCs, load balancers. Experience managing AWS Public and GovCloud across regions. Experience with deploying stack sets and using AWS Control Tower. Good knowledge of GovCloud organizations provision accounts using Compliance Framework. Proficiency in automating processes with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Packer, PowerShell, or Python, including use of remote APIs Experience with cloud orchestration tools and continuous delivery processes to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure for customers to consume Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder who has resided in the U.S. for at least 3 years and the ability to obtain a public trust
