Job Title: Cloud Engineering Senior Manager
Location: Dublin (1 day onsite per week)
Contract: 12-Month Rolling Contract (Daily Rate)
About the Role: We are looking for a highly hands-on and strategically minded Cloud Engineering Senior Manager. This is a pivotal role in a complex business and technology environment undergoing transformation.
You will be responsible for leading cloud engineering initiatives, optimising DevOps practices, analysing cloud spend ROI, and calling out inefficiencies where needed. Expect to work with strong personalities – we need someone who can challenge, guide, and drive meaningful change.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven hands-on experience in AWS cloud engineering, automation, and modern cloud architectures.
  • Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cloud transformation initiatives and optimise developer experience.
  • Ability to analyse and optimise cloud costs, ensuring clear business value.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills – comfortable pushing back and calling out inefficiencies when needed.
  • Experience working in complex business and technical landscapes undergoing transformation.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams while being hands-on where necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct a full SWOT analysis of the current cloud environment and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Lead and guide cloud engineering and DevOps teams to implement modern cloud best practices.
  • Foster a developer-centric support environment, ensuring efficiency and ease of use.
  • Take a hands-on approach in AWS cloud engineering, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Analyse cloud spend and demonstrate ROI for cloud investments.
  • Challenge the status quo, call out inefficiencies, and push for improvement.
  • Provide strong technical leadership while navigating business and technical complexities.
