As a cloud forensic analyst at Deloitte, you will use investigative techniques to collect and analyze evidence from cloud computing environments. You will identify vulnerabilities, recover data, and preserve evidence for legal purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or related technical field
  • 6+ years of experience in cloud forensics and examination of various operating systems
  • Experience with digital forensics tools for data acquisition, analysis, and reporting
  • Experience with malware analysis and reverse engineering
  • Certifications: Must have one of the following: SANS (GCFE or GASF), IAIS,(CFCE or CMFE) NCFI (BCERT or MDE), Cellebrite (CCME or CCO+CCPA), OpenText (EnCE), C|HFI; CCFP, WFE-E-CI, GNFA, WFE-FTK
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity or related technical field
  • Experience with incident response and investigation processes
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $109,000 to $182,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Responsibilities

WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Acquire digital evidence from cloud storage services, virtual machines, cloud logs, network traffic, and other relevant cloud-based sources while maintaining chain of custody
  • Examine cloud data for suspicious activities, malware indicators, unauthorized access attempts, data exfiltration, and other potential security breaches
  • Participate in incident response teams to investigate cloud-based security incidents, identifying root cause, and implementing remediation strategies
  • Analyze cloud logs from various services to detect anomalies and potential threats
  • Apply standard digital forensics techniques to cloud data, including file carving, data carving, and time-based analysis
  • Create comprehensive reports detailing findings from investigations, including evidence analysis and potential legal implications
