Description
About Tessera Labs Tessera Labs is redefining how enterprises adopt and operationalize Artificial Intelligence. Backed by Foundation Capital and led by a world-class founding team, we build multi-agent AI systems that automate complex business workflows across platforms like SAP, Salesforce, Workday, Snowflake, MuleSoft, and more. Our mission is simple but ambitious: bring real AI automation to the enterprise — with speed, precision, and measurable impact. We move fast, operate with extreme ownership, and build at the frontier of applied AI. About the Team The Cloud Infrastructure team builds and operates the foundational infrastructure that lets Tessera run reliably, securely, and consistently across customer environments. This includes a portable cloud infrastructure that makes each environment production-ready: container orchestration (Kubernetes), networking, and automation that ensures our product behaves the same regardless of the underlying cloud provider. This is a high-impact role because it directly enables our ability to onboard and operate enterprise customer environments under strict security and compliance constraints while preserving developer velocity. The work reduces integration risk, standardizes operational practices across hyperscalers, and ensures product teams can ship safely without infrastructure becoming a bottleneck. The Role As a Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer, you’ll design and own production-grade infrastructure that supports Tessera’s AI systems across multiple cloud providers. You’ll work on everything from Kubernetes and Terraform to observability, security, and reliability — with real ownership over architectural decisions. This is a hands-on, senior IC role for someone who enjoys thinking deeply about systems and building infrastructure the right way. What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain production-grade cloud infrastructure Be part of a team that supports Tessera’s infrastructure across every cloud provider Build and be the primary owner of the Oracle Cloud variant of Tessera’s cloud infrastructure, also support other Cloud infrastructures Enable portable infrastructure across customer environments Improve observability, security, and system reliability Deploy and operate applications using Kubernetes and Terraform Partner closely with product and platform engineers to unblock delivery Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Strong hands-on experience with Terraform Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud Experience with CI/CD and GitOps Strong networking fundamentals Proven experience deploying and operating real production systems Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience with FluxCD Deep networking expertise A passion (and curiosity) about clean, unified infrastructure and best practices Who You Are Somebody with a passion for learning new things and robust, reliable infrastructure Comfortable owning and defending complex infrastructure decisions Experienced in startups and/or big tech environments Highly self-motivated with a strong ownership mindset Someone who enjoys building foundational systems that other engineers rely on Why Join Tessera Labs Work on cutting-edge AI infrastructure with real enterprise impact Own foundational systems at an early-stage, high-growth company Collaborate with a sharp, execution-focused founding team Shape how AI is deployed across the largest enterprise platforms in the world
