JOB DESCRIPTION:

We have an opening for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. This will be a remote position, location (residence) needs to be in the Washington DC/Northern VA/MD/PA too.
We’re seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operation of our cloud platforms and scalable infrastructure. You will work as an integral part of an Agile Scrum team, supporting development within an innovative AI GPT technology.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) experience.
  • Network gateways, VPN technologies (site-to-site, P2P), cross-cloud connectivity.
  • CI/CD Expertise: Advanced proficiency in building, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex CI/CD pipelines.
  • RAG Pipeline Engineering: Experience with document processing, embedding generation, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB), and knowledge retrieval workflows.
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  • Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Security frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST-800-53).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Active Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Master’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience cloud infrastructure engineering, with 3+ years in multi-cloud environments

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Experience supporting AI/ML workflows including infrastructure for tool/function calling and agentic architectures
  • Strong scripting/coding skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare or government.

    Pay: $150.00 - $170.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Architecture: Design and deploy secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Network Engineering: Implement and manage network gateways, P2P VPN connections, and cross-cloud networking solutions
  • DevSecOps: Build CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and enforce security compliance
  • RAG Pipeline Engineering: Design and maintain robust document ingestion, chunking, embedding, and vector database pipelines for AI knowledge retrieval systems
  • Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates
