Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AT BAXTER

Baxter International is seeking a skilled Cloud Network Engineer to join our dynamic team on a mission to save and sustain lives through a growing portfolio of connected devices. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administration, operation and monitoring of customer facing digital health software applications and platforms deployed in the Baxter’s Azure cloud platform. You will also be responsible for defining and documenting processes to ensure that required security, privacy and other compliance standards are maintained.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Manage Network quality assurance and code review processes to mitigate risks and improve network performance. Holds responsibility for crucial aspects of network implementation such as connections, protocols, and qualification of design.
  • Design secure, reliable, scalable, and high-performance network features or components in Azure cloud to support platforms and applications deployments.
  • Implement and support site-to-site VPN or other secure network connectivity between on-premises networks and Azure cloud via cloud native and other commercial off the shelve solutions.
  • Monitor network usage, performance, and availability for precise failure analysis and proactive monitoring enhancements to improve network stability.
  • Standardize site metrics for stakeholders, reporting on various KPIs including SLAs, availability, capacity utilization, service metrics and cost utilization.
  • Optimize network operations and incident management workflows.
  • Identifying and addressing operational gaps and implementing automation strategies.
  • Support the execution for Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
  • Swiftly diagnosing and resolving network issues with minimal customer impact, backed by meticulous post-incident analysis as part of on-call responsibilities.
  • Work closely with DevOps Engineers to streamline network deployments by contributing to cutting-edge automation for rapid and efficient infrastructure expansion.
  • Working with internal and external engineers as needed to troubleshoot issues and drive for resolution.
  • Participate in on call rotation to resolve issues with production networks.
