REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong expertise in AWS networking services, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and VPNs.
• Solid understanding of Cisco networking concepts and experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• Proficiency with pfSense firewalls for advanced routing, load balancing, and firewall management.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting VPNs (IPSec, OpenVPN, SSL VPNs).
• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, including network services.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump, SolarWinds).
• Familiarity with ISP management, including SLA negotiation and troubleshooting internet outages.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with network automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of cloud and on-premises load balancing and DNS management.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty, Cisco CCNP, or RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines for network services.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

PURPOSE

We are seeking a Cloud Network Engineer with strong expertise in AWS, networking, and IT infrastructure to design, deploy, and manage a robust, secure, and scalable hybrid network environment which includes AWS and VMware Onprem. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network engineering (on-premises and cloud), managing AWS networking services, configuring Cisco devices, administering Linux systems, managing VPNs, pfSense firewalls, and working with ISPs to ensure optimal performance and uptime
