REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in areas such as Computer Systems Engineering, Network Security Management, Information Technology or Computer Science
• 7+ years of professional networking experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting networks in large scale data centers
• 2+ years of professional cloud networking experience (AWS preferred)
• 2+ years of professional experience assisting, supporting, and training other team members
• Expert knowledge of network operating systems, equipment, and best practices
• Expert knowledge of web application firewalls and load balancers
• Expert knowledge of routing protocols and switching
• Expert knowledge of configuration management methods and practices
• Expert knowledge of data centers
• Expert knowledge of virtualization, compute, and storage technologies
• Experience implementing operational automation using scripts
• Able to interpret user’s requirements
• Certifications are a huge plus! | Cisco Certified Network Associate certifications, Professional CompTIA Network, AWS certifications, or similar

THE ROLE

This role will lead the Architecture, design, and deployment of network solutions.
Responsibilities will include developing specifications, implementing and maintaining cloud network security architecture for systems applications, performing and managing network design upgrades and hardware reconfigurations in a hybrid environment, diagnosing and resolving routing and interconnectivity issues, and overall ensuring the availability, reliability, integrity, and efficient operation of the systems that support the AWS Cloud and hosted applications.
There will be on-call hours for this position on a rotating schedule (typically twice a month).

JOB DUTIES:

• AWS multi-tenant, hybrid network infrastructure design and support
• Ability to create Infrastructure as Code scripts
• Installs, maintains, and evaluates network systems and communications.
• Troubleshoots the most complex network issues.
• Conducts various research and analysis regarding new technology, network traffic, potential security risk, etc.
• Leads the network architecture design and optimization.
• Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures
• Hands on experience with Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Wireless Controllers from market leading vendors
• Ability to design security protocols around SOC, PCI, HIPPA and CJIS compliance
• Performs all other related duties assigned
