ECS is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to work remotely. ECS seeks a dynamic and experienced Mid/Senior Cloud Security Architects to lead the expansion of Secure Cloud Business Applications (SCuBA) program to additional vendors and platforms beyond M365 and GWS, including research, prototyping, and development of new secure configuration baselines and tools. We are seeking a problem solver, who enjoys the challenge of tackling technical tasks and problems creatively and communally. A strong desire and aptitude for learning is a must with a proven ability to adapt and drive change - our solution is rapidly evolving, along with new requirements, technologies and the threat landscape. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments, translating mission requirements into compelling technical visions, and guiding cross-functional teams from concept to delivery. This role requires a blend of technical leadership, solution strategy, and hands-on piloting expertise across many Cloud SaaS products. You will serve as a trusted advisor to federal customers—rapidly iterating on solution design, validating concepts through prototypes, and presenting strategic recommendations to executives and stakeholders. Success in this role requires critical thinking, technical breadth and depth, and a proven ability to overcome constraints to deliver value-driven outcomes.   The ideal candidate will: * Lead solution development efforts across federal programs—translating requirements into actionable strategies, architectures, and prototypes.  * Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, driving iterative design, implementation planning, and stakeholder alignment * Develop and validate innovative ideas through rapid prototyping to demonstrate value and accelerate buy-in.  * Proactively seeking opportunities to define and improve processes to align and optimize resources across technical areas and in response to a dynamic customer environment * Provide thought leadership and influence through effective communication and consultative, analytical, organizational, and design skills * Possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including the ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization and for engaging with federal agencies, vendors, and external users * Fulfill basic project management duties to ensure the successful completion of short-term engagements, problem solving, the creation of milestone plans and expectation / communications management Salary Range: $160,000 - $215,000 General Description of Benefits [https://ecstech.com/careers/benefits] Qualifications * Must be a US Citizen * Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance * Bachelor’s degree with 5 – 10 years of direct and relevant experience * Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 (M365), Google Workspace (GWS), and other SaaS environments. * Applying in-depth knowledge to scrutinize the security architecture, implementation, deployment, and operations of chosen SaaS platforms. * Deep understanding of secure configuration baselines (SCBs) and cloud security best practices.  * Experience with zero trust architecture and cloud risk management.  * Ability to deliver training, workshops, and technical presentations.  * Knowledge of AI-driven solutions for cybersecurity and automation tools.  * Providing cloud security technical expertise. * Providing technical expertise in security matters in technical domains such as network protocols/security, hardware security, software engineering, virtualization, and operating systems. * In depth understanding of general information security concepts and principles, system architectures and development, network protocols, etc. * Experience managing vulnerabilities using CVE and KEV data, including identifying, prioritizing, and remediating actively exploited threats in alignment with CISA guidance and organizational risk management practices. * In depth experience with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security controls, the Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) security documentation tool, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and security compliance processes. * Experience navigating the FedRAMP authorization process, including security package development, compliance documentation, and maintaining continuous monitoring requirements. * Ability to build teams and facilitate growth, development of cloud security architects and cross team collaboration and knowledge transfer. * Eagerness to dig into technical questions and problems, enthusiasm, good customer interface skills, positive attitude, strong communication skills (written and verbal), and effective teamwork and technical collaboration skills. * Experience designing and implementing solutions to include consideration of Federal Security requirements (i.e., compliance with Federal ATO requirements across all security domains).
