Cloud Security Engineer (Operations) - - - - - - - - - - - - MISSION Provides effective technical and functional support to users to ensure the stability, security, and continuity of digital services. Handles user requests, diagnoses issues, and implements timely resolutions or workarounds to restore service quickly. Contributes to data correction and validation activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance before deployment to production environments. Actively supports security practices by identifying vulnerabilities, following secure operations guidelines, and contributing to remediation actions in collaboration with relevant teams. Monitors production systems with a proactive and user-centric mindset, ensuring both service availability and adherence to security standards. Works within defined processes and guidelines while continuously contributing to service quality, operational stability, and security posture improvement. KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS Incident Management Ensures proper prioritization and urgency assessment of incidents, including potential security impacts. Performs initial technical, functional, and basic security analysis, provides timely resolutions or workarounds, and keeps users informed with clear status updates throughout the lifecycle. Service Request Handling Manages standard service requests end-to-end while ensuring compliance with security and access control policies. Coordinates with relevant teams when needed and ensures proper validation before fulfilling requests. Change Management Actively participates in the change management process, ensuring changes are validated, tested, and deployed in line with security and compliance requirements to minimize risks to production systems. Problem Management Contributes to root cause analysis of incidents, including identifying potential security vulnerabilities or risks, and supports corrective and preventive actions. Monitoring & Observability Uses monitoring tools to track system health, security alerts, and abnormal behaviors. Reacts proactively to alerts, assesses business and security impact, and triggers incidents as needed. Continuous Improvement Identifies opportunities to improve service reliability, efficiency, and security based on user feedback and operational insights. Collaborates with teams to enhance overall service quality. Knowledge Management Documents and shares solutions, lessons learned, and known issues, including security-related cases, to improve team awareness and resolution efficiency. Service Level Management Understands service performance and security expectations, proactively flags risks or deviations from SLAs, and supports adherence to operational and security standards. EXTERNAL CANDIDATE PROFILE Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. Academic qualifications or certifications in Cyber Security are considered an added advantage. 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience. Solid understanding of IT infrastructure concepts (compute, storage, networking). Hands-on experience with server environments (Windows and/or Linux). Basic understanding of infrastructure security principles (patching, access control, vulnerability awareness). Exposure to AWS services. Vulnerability remediation and troubleshooting experience in cloud environments is an added advantage. Strong communication and user-facing skills. Proactive and structured approach to work.
