Job Description Job Summary The Cloud Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring the security of cloud-based systems, applications, and data. This role involves implementing security best practices, monitoring for threats, and collaborating with IT and security teams to safeguard cloud environments. The specialist will work closely with architects, engineers, and analysts to ensure compliance with security frameworks and industry standards. Candidate should have strong understanding of Microsoft Azure technologies and especially the one related to Information Security. Key Responsibilities Cloud Security Implementation: Design and implement security controls for cloud environments, especially Azure to protect infrastructure, applications, and data. You have experience with Defender for Cloud, for example Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) etc, Threat Detection & Response: Monitor cloud environments for security threats, investigate alerts, and coordinate incident response efforts. You have experience with Microsoft technologies such as: Microsoft XDR, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint & Microsoft Defender for Identity Identity & Access Management (IAM): Enforce strong authentication, authorization, and access control policies across cloud platforms. You have experience with Conditional Access Management, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Entra ID and any IGA or PAM solutions. Vulnerability Management, Cloud Threat Modelling & Threat Intelligence: Assess cloud environments for vulnerabilities, unique attack vectors, recommend mitigations, and work with teams to remediate risks. You have experience with Microsoft Defender for Vulnerability Management and have an ability to stay abreast of cloud security threats and attack techniques and mitigate these via intent use of threat intelligence feeds. Cloud Application Management: Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate DevSecOps and Zero Trust principles into the application lifecycle. Data Protection: You understand the different encryption mechanisms and have experience with Microsoft Purview. Compliance & Governance: Ensure cloud security practices align with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, DORA, and regulatory requirements. Security Awareness & Training: Provide guidance and training to teams on secure cloud practices. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years in cloud security, security operations, or related roles. Proven experience in cloud security, with a strong focus on Azure. Deep knowledge of Azure security services (Azure AD, Defender for Cloud, Entra, etc.). Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (CIS, CSA CCM, NIST, etc.). Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cloud security principles, network security, IAM, and security tools like CSPM and SIEM.
