The Cloud Software Architect will architect the modernization of enterprise-class software applications. They will work in coordination with Agile development teams and other stakeholders to architect, design, build, migrate, expand, automate, and sustain a large, multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise. The Cloud Software Architect will leverage their experience in cloud software architecture to design and direct the development of this exciting new solution. You will play a crucial role via the following: Designs, architects, deploys and maintains cloud solutions Maintains the integrity and security of systems Supports and develops automation Develops in languages such as Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js Maintains/enhances knowledge of AWS cloud services Composes and maintains standard operating procedures and work instructions, knowledge articles, et al. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Software Architect must have: ● Education: Training, Certificate, or Degree required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or relevant experience preferred ● Experience: 10+ years of related experience with AWS cloud computing ● Required Skills: Proficiency in the following languages: Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing one of the following: Terraform and/or CloudFormation Understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture Linux OS experience Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers) to deliver high-quality solutions. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
