Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Software Engineer to support a Federal Government Department in the delivery of modern, integrated software systems. This role sits within a multidisciplinary agile delivery team and focuses on building and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure and .NET technologies.
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable code and collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. This role will contribute to the development, integration, and automation of enterprise systems across cloud and on-premises platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable code using .NET, C#, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, testers, and product owners as part of a cross-functional agile delivery team.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs, integrate systems across Azure and on-prem environments, and support CI/CD practices.
  • Write and maintain documentation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise applications for performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of automated testing, cloud provisioning, and DevOps pipelines.
