What does that mean in practice? We make our customers' lives easier by allowing them to pay for Mercedes-Benz goods and services throughout the entire customer lifecycle: from the purchase phase (initial financing or leasing payments, online reservation payments or down payments, and full vehicle payments), through the usage phase (vehicle-related services such as refueling, charging, Digital Extras or the e-Vignette from the Mercedes-Benz Store), all the way to the retention phase (early contract settlement).
Mercedes pay as a platform was launched in 2018 and is now live in more than 45 markets worldwide, playing a central role in Mercedes-Benz’s digital business model.
We enable payments across all customer touchpoints, wherever customers are: via app, web, at the point of sale, and even in the car itself. Mercedes pay is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz AG, with offices in Stuttgart, Berlin, and Singapore.
Our solutions enable: Digital extras & subscriptions, mobility services such as fueling and charging, e-commerce (ATC), online vehicle sales and full vehicle payments (in selected markets), in-car payments, and loyalty.

You will collaborate in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment where your experience and hands-on attitude are valued.
You will set up and maintain our AWS cloud infrastructure, align it with best-practice standards using infrastructure as code, and support the rollout of new payment products and services from an infrastructure perspective.
You will support releases and ensure the reliable operation of CI/CD pipelines, including up-to-date compliance and security checks for our builds and deployments.
You will further develop our data pipeline and integrate it with other systems.
You will leverage Datadog features to monitor changes to our infrastructure.
You will contribute to IT Operations activities during the rollout of products to new markets and use cases.
You will collaborate with Mercedes-Benz Group IT specialists and external providers to co-create innovative solutions and contribute to AI-based IT Operations solutions at Mercedes pay.
You will play a key role in ensuring the operational excellence of our global payment platform.
Our expectations of you
Education
You have successfully completed a relevant degree in Computer Science or have equivalent professional experience.
Qualifications
You have a strong passion for IT and bring an open-minded, highly motivated attitude.
You have strong solution-oriented, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
You are willing to participate in an on-call rotation.
You have knowledge of IT security best practices and common standards.
You are fluent in business English and technical English.
Experience
You are proficient in cloud service architecture best practices and have experience writing infrastructure as code.
You are proficient in Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm, and have experience in software development (e.g., Java), Git SCM, and the Atlassian toolchain.
