We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), specializing in Security who is passionate about driving our customers’ security transformation on the Sentinel and Defender XDR solutions and Purview Data Security. This is a customer-facing role, owning the technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft, helping customers to leverage their Microsoft investments through architecture, implementation, and operational health engagements. Our Security CSAs work with Enterprise level customers on the bleeding edge of our Security solution stack. Responsibilities We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Security Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) to drive customer transformation in our Security Solutions. You will own the customer engagements deliveries, including architecture design sessions, specific implementation project/pilots and helping to remove technical blockers. You will be driving successful customer security outcomes enabled by your design and engagement with key customer teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles, a background of deep technical expertise, and success building trusted advisor relationships with senior customer executives, Enterprise Architects, IT Management and Developers. Customer Centricity • Customer Satisfaction - Drive positive Customer Satisfaction & become a trusted advisor. • Customer/Partner Insights - Provide feedback & insights from customers/partners. • Be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap. • Land an end-to-end value prop for Security (i.e., Zero Trust) which spans the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings, and with focus on Threat Protection, ID + Access Management, Data Security and Cloud Security. Business Impact • Position and deliver solutions that drive Security product usage and develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results & help Customers get value from their Microsoft investments. • Identify resolutions to Customer blockers by leveraging SA subject matter expertise. Deliver according to MS best practices & using repeatable IP. • Accelerate Business Value of overall Security adoption by improving security posture and ensuring that the solution exhibits “Secure by Design” framework, such as high-performance levels, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment. Technical Leadership • Learn It All – Align individual skilling to team/area demands & Customer Success goals. • Accelerate customer outcomes - Share expertise, contribute to IP creation & re-use to accelerate customer outcomes. • Run Architectural Design Session to build a plan for implementing the solution – governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment. Outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production. • Collaborate and orchestrate with other Cloud Solution Architects and MS stakeholders in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions with the Microsoft Security platform. • Leverage the breadth of your technical experience and knowledge in foundational security, foundational AI, architecture design, with depth Subject Matter Expertise in security to deliver the end-to-end security story for Microsoft, highlighting the value proposition using your experience in security and expertise around related technologies and concepts such as Data Security, Zero Trust, threat management, SOC monitoring (SIEM / SOAR), Extended Detection & Response (XDR) + SIEM, Cloud Security and Identity Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 7+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a breadth of knowledge across Microsoft Cloud security domains– SIEM & XDR, Purview- Data Security. Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, and Identity –Expertise/experience focused on: o Purview Data Security – DLP, MIP and IRM o Defender for Office (MDO) o Microsoft Sentinel o Microsoft Defender For Cloud (MDC) o Defender for Endpoint (MDE o Defender for Identity (MDI) o Defender for Applications o Identity- Entra ID • Breadth of technical security experience and knowledge, with depth and Subject Matter Expertise in one or more of the following domains: o Data Security – DLP, MIP and IRM o SIEM and Cloud Security Analytics o Security Operations Center (SOC) o Extended Detection and Response (XDR) o Identity • proven ability to map the customer’s needs to technical solutions. • Strong technical understanding of Microsoft Security Solutions and of competitors. • Empathy, curiosity, and desire to constantly improve, acquire new skills and drive for results. • Demonstrated technical leadership in previous roles. • Able to quickly resolve customer escalations by coordinating appropriate resources as needed. • Certification in one or more of the following technologies preferred: Microsoft Security architecture, CISSP, CCSP or equivalent Business Value: The ability to convey the business need and value of proposed solutions, plans, and risks to stakeholders and decision makers. This includes the ability to persuade and inform based on facts and alignment with goals and strategy Trusted Advisership: The ability to build trusted advisor status and deep relationships across stakeholders (e.g., technical decision makers, business decision makers) through an understanding of customer needs and technologies.
