Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Specialist with expertise in VMware Horizon, vRealize Operations (vROPS), and AWS cloud infrastructure management. This role will focus on delivering high-performance, scalable, and secure cloud solutions, managing VMware environments, and leveraging cloud technologies to ensure optimal system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware Horizon for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and expertise in cloud-based infrastructure management, monitoring, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • VMware Horizon Management: Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware Horizon VDI environments, including desktop pool management and user access. Optimize VMware Horizon environments for performance and scalability. Configure and support Horizon Connection Servers, Composer, and View Security Servers. Manage Horizon deployments, including image management and profile management.
  • vROPS (vRealize Operations) Management: Administer and configure vROPS for monitoring VMware infrastructure. Create custom dashboards, alerts, and reports for performance and availability tracking. Analyze vROPS data to improve system performance and address potential bottlenecks or issues.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize cloud instances on AWS. Work with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, and IAM to support cloud infrastructure. Assist with cloud migrations and ensure the effective integration of on-premise VMware infrastructure with cloud environments. Monitor cloud resource performance and capacity, ensuring cost efficiency and scalability.
  • Incident & Change Management: Lead troubleshooting for critical incidents and resolve issues based on vROPS and cloud-based insights. Participate in the change management process to ensure a stable and secure cloud environment.
  • System Optimization & Reporting: Monitor and analyze system performance, provide reports, and take proactive steps to address issues or optimize resources. Implement automation and optimization strategies for VMware and cloud resources using best practices.

Requirements:

  • Min 5 years in IT infrastructure roles, with a focus on VMware Horizon, vROPS, and AWS cloud technologies. Expertise in managing and troubleshooting VMware Horizon environments for VDI.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS for cloud infrastructure management. Experience in monitoring and managing performance using vROPS.
  • VMware Certified Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vROPS. Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch).
  • Experience with VMware Horizon (VDI management, image management, etc.).
  • Scripting skills in PowerCLI, PowerShell Scripting
