Firebrand Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Cloud Support Apprentice with enChoice UK, a global leader in enterprise content management (ECM), digital transformation, and intelligent automation solutions based in Daresbury.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is a hybrid Apprentice role that bridges first-line IT support and cloud/platform engineering. It’s designed for someone looking to build a career in either technical support or cloud operations, with onthe-job training, mentoring, and exposure to both environments. The successful candidate will start by supporting day-to-day user IT issues, while progressively taking on tasks around cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a desire to grow with the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three A-Levels or equivalent (and GCSE English and maths)
  • Previous Experience within the role

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • A strong interest in IT support and/or cloud technologies
  • Some basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and work across multiple technical domains
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Support (First Line)

  • Be the first point of contact for all IT-related issues via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Log, prioritise, and track incidents and service requests.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, printers, and network access.
  • Escalate complex issues to second-line support or relevant engineering teams.
  • Support onboarding of new users including setting up accounts and devices.

Cloud & Platform

Engineering:

  • Help monitor system health, performance, and availability across Azure cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Work with the senior team to automate manual processes and improve deployment workflows.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patching, and configuration tasks.
  • Assist with managing version control, branching strategies, and deployment practices.
  • Support the ongoing evaluation and monitoring of organizational systems to ensure alignment with security standards and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to internal documentation, including architecture diagrams, setup guides, and operational procedures.
  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of platform issues or deployment failures.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and support teams to ensure reliable service delivery.
