Description
SAIC is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to be tasked with the provision of Global Enterprise IT services, specifically focusing the design and management of the core cloud infrastructure. With a deep understanding of AWS & Azure service such as EC2/Azure Virtual Machines, VPC/Virtual Networks and S3/Storage accounts. In addition to these responsibilities, the Cloud Systems Engineer will create and maintain the foundational elements that support cloud applications and services. The Engineer is expected to deliver Tier 3 level support to SITEC 3 EOM mission partners. This critical support role involves the diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of system outages, all while guaranteeing optimal service uptime and mission operational capabilities.
The Cloud Systems Engineer is a pivotal role within our IT infrastructure team, providing Tier 3 systems support in-line with the SIE OPORD. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of government Platform as a Service (PAAS), Software as a Service (SAAS) coupled with advanced skills in analysis, troubleshooting, and system design. Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a critical component of this role. The engineer will be integral to the systems engineering process, leveraging data for performance enhancement, and participating actively in working groups, design reviews, and system testing.
