Job Description

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  • BS Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant certification or completion of equivalent program in areas such as Software Development, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Hands‑on experience with Cloud Service Providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.) IaaS and networking such as VPC, Subnets, Security groups, etc.
  • Understanding of web and network protocols such as HTTP/S, TCP/IP, DNS
  • Understanding of basic routing concepts
  • Experience with Linux Operations or System Administration
  • Experience with scripting language such as Python or Unix shell scripts with strong focus towards automation.
  • Experience with software solution design and documentation
  • Experience with infrastructure, network, database, or security troubleshooting.
  • Experience delivering products and features using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as git, Terraform, Jira, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CloudBees etc.
  • Experience using, implementing and/or operating Cloud Foundry or similar PaaS (e.g. Elastic Beanstalk)
  • Hands-on experience with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes etc.
  • Strong knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or similar platforms.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 6 to 8 plus years of experience in IT field and/or related program
  • Ability to work in a matrixed and highly concurrent environment
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute on a project or experiment, including milestones and endpoints
  • Experience working as part a global, diverse team
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services such as VPC, Route53, EC2, ALB, S3, RDS, S3, IAM, etc.
  • Relevant certification (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Experience debugging software and/or scripting errors.
  • Experience with low-code application development platforms such as Oracle APEX.
  • Experience in System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Contributes to architecture, design, and engineering of global Tanzu Application Service (Cloud Foundry) Platform, Web Redirect Service, Containers and Oracle APEX platform.
  • Defines best practices and guidelines for the Application Hosting PaaS.
  • Contributes to identifying capability gaps in product capabilities and designing solutions to address it.
  • Executes on opportunities to automate and simplify maintenance and lifecycle of platform services
  • Maintains current industry knowledge of cloud and application hosting PaaS concepts, best practices, and technologies
  • Prioritizes workloads, commitments, and scheduled timelines.
  • Frequent interaction with product managers and engineering teams to onboard their new workloads to our products
  • Documents, reviews, and ensures that all System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and company policy standards are met
  • Provide point of escalation for product customer support team
