Overview The Nantucket Club Desk Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to club members and guests, managing the front desk, and maintaining a clean and organized club environment. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet and welcome all members and guests in a friendly and professional manner. Check in members and verify membership status. Register guests and collect appropriate fees. Promote club events and activities. Front Desk Operations: Manage incoming calls and provide information to callers. Stock and sell supplies as needed. Maintain a clean and organized desk area. Facility Maintenance: Keep gym equipment, machines, floors, and locker rooms clean and organized. Track program logs for pools and fitness classes. Ensure towels are washed, dried, and folded. Security: Be responsible for the safety and security of self and others. Additional Duties: Complete any undefined work assignments as assigned by management. Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications: Equivalent of a High School Education CPR and First Aid Training Reception experience preferred Strong customer service skills Basic math skills Ability to work under pressure Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to multitask Enjoy working with people Problem-solving skills Positive and outgoing personality Cooperative and optimistic attitude Patience, courtesy, and empathy Ability to follow instructions precisely Attention to detail and quality control Accommodating to the needs of others Clear communication skills Enthusiasm for completing specialized tasks Analytical problem-solving skills Ability to adhere to regulations and procedures Strong work ethic and follow-through Ability to avoid sudden and abrupt changes Must be able to bend, lift and carry up to 25 pounds Successful applicant will pass pre-employment background check.
