We are a small committee run Working Men’s Club located in Fitzwilliam and we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic manager to work alongside us to run and manage the club and staff.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
· Aged 18 or over
· Practical bar skills – including but not limited to pouring drinks and changing barrels
· Leadership and Management Experience
· Good communication skills
· Organised
· Excellent Customer Service skills
· Have a hands-on attitude
· Experience in problem solving and decision making
· Able to manage time and prioritise task accordingly
· Demonstrate passion and enthusiasm within your role and show commitment to both staff and the pub
· Knowledge of alcohol and service laws and the confidence to enforce them
· Have a strong working ethic and highly self-motivated
· Be honest, trustworthy and respectful with a friendly nature
· Be smart in your appearance
· Can liaise regularly with the committee and complete any actions required
· Able to work both days and evenings/nights including weekends and bank holidays, including times outside of business hours
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £15.40 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week

· Responsible for the smooth running of the club on a day-to-day basis as well as supporting, leading and managing the team of staff we have.
· Lone working as well as within a team setting.
· Must be able to motivate both yourself and staff to provide excellent customer service.
· Always maintain a clean and safe working place. Taking pride in the cleanliness of the bar and club. Promote a clean as you go working environment.
· Recruit and train staff to a level where they are confident in working alone, including new starter inductions.
· Create rotas to cover the opening hours as well as fully staffing events and functions.
· Managing and ordering stock to make sure the bar is always well stocked, organised and presentable.
· Handling cash from sales, bookings and other revenues, keeping track of this. Providing the information required to the committee on a weekly basis.
· Submitting all hours worked for yourself and staff to the committee to organise the wages.
· Always making sure you and all staff provide a positive customer experience whilst addressing any issues or concerns regarding both customers and staff.
· Hold regular staff meetings.
· Manage staff performance and absence on a day-to-day basis, liaising with the committee if any concerns arise.
· Deal with any issues/concerns or feedback in a positive and helpful manner and seek advice and support from the committee if required. Use this to identify and complete any training that’s needed.
· Ensuring the bar adheres to all relevant licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
· Being involved in planning, promoting and executing events.
· Ensure all opening and closing procedures are followed.
· Share with and inform your staff so they are always aware of events, promotions and other information they require to help provide the best service.
· Keep records and logs that are required and utilise CCTV, keys and safe storage of paperwork, whilst upholding GDPR.
· Work with the committee to bring ideas to enhance the club as a whole and help to maximise sales.
· Work to minimise wastage – complete manual line cleaning every week, monitor and train staff on how to pour drinks, make sure any wastage is logged and receive and check all deliveries.
· Work with the committee to support staff but also investigate issues as and when they arise.
· Investigate and respond to any staff concerns or grievances in an appropriate and timely manner. Seeking advice and support from the committee where required.
· Report any maintenance issues that arise to the committee in a timely manner and be prepared to sort contractors to attend to deal with the issues.
· Carry out any task deemed reasonable by the committee in order to meet the needs of the business.
