DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

Provide support to Perrigo Business Services (PBS - Finance Shared Service Centre) for cluster or country specific localized accounting tasks when service is not supported by PBS.
Performs professional accounting work when country specifics are not supported by PBS. May include any of the following: preparation of journal entries, fixed asset or inventory accounting, bank account activities, local statutory filings or other local financial external report submissions in local languages. Has a good knowledge of the organization’s existing systems and the ability to handle most standard issues independently. Reports to the financial controller in cluster and has frequent contact with PBS GL Team lead for services provided by PBS.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Professional Bachelor degree or equivalent; typically a minimum of 4 years’ work experience required.
• Solid knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
• Solid understanding of local GAAP requirements that are relevant in the cluster or country.
• Language skills: English and local country language is required.
• Good working experience with VAT & Intrastat, local Tax requirements.
• Ability to function in a geographically dispersed team.

• Performs general accounting activities requiring some insight and depth of understanding of local entity and local country requirements (Czech Republic and Slovakia).
• May support on other Cluster country activities as and when required.
• Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.
• Interact with local auditors for the audit of allocated processes where not in scope of PBS.
• Performs some closing tasks of a legal entity under local GAAP and US GAAP, where task is out of scope of PBS.
• Will assist in preparing tax reconciliations from local Tax to US GAAP.
• Supports PBS in reporting intercompany balances and reconciliations
• May significantly contribute to preparation of a variety of reasonably standard, periodic “intermediate” or “end products”, trial balances, balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements or statements of sourcing and application of funds as well as local country specific external reports to authorities, where service is not supported by PBS.
