This Position reports to: Business Manager - Commercial&Operations Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain. The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybrid This role is contributing to the Robotics and Discrete Automation Business based at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for: Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions. Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks. Providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB. Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices. Qualifications for the role A degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Certification in NEBOSH International General Certificate in OHS/OSHA or an equivalent recognized qualification. Valid Local HSE Certification in accordance with Malaysia legislation. Minimum of 5 years of total industry experience, with a least 2-3 years in a dedicated HSE professional role. Certified Lead or Internal Auditor in HSE, preferably aligned with ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 standards. Proven experience in delivering Health, Safety, and Environmental training across various levels. Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to work assertively and pragmatically while supporting business objectives.
