POSITION SUMMARY

Marriott International’s Managed hotels in the Central London Cluster seek a dynamic, creative and customer-focused Learning & Development Officer for our amazing five properties:
London Marriott Hotel County Hall
London Marriott Hotel Kensington
London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale
London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch
London Marriott Hotel Regents Park
As a Learning & Development Officer you will assist the Cluster TA and L&D Manager and the Cluster Human Resources Team in driving all training and development activities within the cluster of five properties. You will maintain positive internal and external relationships with both associates and managers. You’ll lead by example as an enthusiastic learner and be a go-to person for all things L&D. Additionally, you will provide a consistently high standard of administration support to the key stakeholders and supports in the achievement of the business goals and strategies of the company.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous learning and development experience essential
  • Previous administrative experience required
  • Human Resources experience desired

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Influential communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Strong design, delivery and presentation skills, particularly in guest service and customer service
  • Confident Learning Management System user
  • Effective coaching skills and understanding of the talent life cycle
  • Previous user of Microsoft Office systems such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy of spelling and grammar, layout and content formation essential
  • Highly organized, time-conscious and efficient approach to daily, weekly and monthly schedules
  • Ability to manage varying needs and prioritizing to ensure best business results

EDUCATION OR CERTIFICATION

  • High School completion or equivalent required
  • Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development student (or similar) certification preferred or a willingness to study
Responsibilities

As a Learning & Development Officer, your role is key in ensuring all associates are equipped with knowledge and skills to carry out their work activities effectively. You will be taking a strategic approach on training, assessing the needs within the organisation and deliver the trainings required as such.
