  Under supervision of Center Manager will work independently to perform office responsibilities related to reception, registration and checkout of patients. Under supervision of physician/nurse practitioner, physician assistant, provides quality nursing care for assigned patients. Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills. Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization. Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by demonstrating dependability in job performance. Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).   Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort Works in a well lighted, ventilated and air conditioned area. Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights and sounds. Long periods in a stationary position and moving around the unit are required. Risks exposure to disease, infection, physical strain and assault. Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation and antineoplastic agents. Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently.   Contacts with Others Patient, family members and significant others, physicians and Associates, other healthcare providers, community resource personnel, administrative staff and Organizational support services.     Qualifications Current CMA Certificate in the State of Kentucky. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (successful completion within three [3] months of employment).
Responsibilities
The CMA will perform office responsibilities including patient reception, registration, and checkout. They will also provide quality nursing care under the supervision of physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants.
